Under the agreements, Fortune, Joycome and China Tea shall supply safe edible oil, fresh pork and meat products, and tea products of premium quality to national team athletes who undergo training at the Training Bureau of the General Administration of Sport.
An official with the Training Bureau of the General Administration of Sport noted the sound partnership between the Training Bureau and COFCO Corporation over the years during which several batches of COFCO products have been tested to be 100% safe, thus proving COFCO’s trustworthy quality. Taking the opportunity presented by the signing of agreements, the Training Bureau will team up with COFCO Fortune, COFCO Joycome and COFCO China Tea and provide assistance and logistic support to national team athletes in active preparation of 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
At the signing ceremony, relevant executives of COFCO Fortune, COFCO Joycome and COFCO China Tea said that they will take the opportunity presented by the partnership to work with the Training Bureau of the General Administration of Sport in good faith and exercise stronger capability in providing safe, nutritious, healthy and delicious products of higher quality standard with greater supply efficiency for national team athletes in preparation of the Olympics in the hope of putting athletes in better training status and enabling them to reach their peak competitive level at the international sports arena. In this way, more people will pay attention to sports, love sports and actively take part in the nationwide fitness campaign to constantly enhance people’s physical fitness. Meanwhile, COFCO will continue to focus on innovation, increase products’ nutrition and health standards, provide consumers with better products and enable Chinese people to enjoy their life with healthy and quality-assured diet.
Dubbed as the “cradle of champions”, the Training Bureau of the General Administration of Sport is the birthplace of China’s competitive sports as well as the base camp of China’s athletes for the Olympics, having witnessed the rise of many athletes to fame. According to the statistics, the number of Olympic gold medals won by teams of athletes trained at the Training Bureau accounts for 74% of all gold medals won by Chinese athletes. Thirteen national teams for ten kinds of sports (diving, gymnastics, weightlifting, table tennis, badminton, basketball, volleyball, track and field, swimming and synchronized swimming) undergo long-term training at the Training Bureau, which provides athletes of national teams with all-round services and support including training, food, accommodation, transportation, rehabilitation and education.
