On August 16, COFCO President Yu Xubo met with Itochu President for East Asia Bloc Akihiro Ueda at COFCO Fortune Plaza. Both sides reviewed the history of cooperation between COFCO and Itochu and conducted exchanges and discussions regarding potential cooperation opportunities.
Yu Xubo gave a briefing on COFCO’s internationalization progress and the reform of state-owned capital investment companies, highlighted the long-term sound cooperation between two parties, and welcomed Itochu to further expand its cooperation with COFCO in appropriate areas.
After introducing Itochu’s latest developments and strategic adjustments, Akihiro Ueda noted that Itochu attaches great importance to its partnership with COFCO and is willing to conduct comprehensive cooperation with COFCO in areas such as grains, oils, cotton, meat, and finance.
Itochu Vice President for East Asia Bloc Takuya Suzuki, general manager of China Food Division of Itochu East Asia Bloc Manabu Matsui, COFCO industry senior general manager Gu Lifeng, and director of Strategic Investment Department Qing Lijun attended the meeting.
