COFCO ranked number 463 on Fortune magazine’s 2006 list of Global 500 Enterprises, with sales revenues at US$14.635 billion. This marks the 12th straight year that COFCO has been on the list.
22 Chinese enterprises, including those in the mainland, Hong Kong and Taiwan, made the same list. The highest Chinese entry is Sinopec, which ranked in 23rd place. Newcomers include China Railway Engineering Corporation, China Railway Construction Corporation and China State Construction Engineering Corporation.
