Opening ceremony for CPMC (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. was held on October 30 in Wuqing Development Zone, Tianjin.
Mr. Zhi Shenghua, Vice Mayor of Tianjin and Mr. Patrick Yu, President of COFCO attended the ceremony, delivered opening speeches and cut the ribbon for celebration. Senior executives from COFCO--Mr. Xue Guoping, Vice President, Mm Liu Ding, Vice President, Mr. Wang Jinchang, Assistant President--along with Mr. Yang Weimin, Deputy Chairman of China Packaging Federation, Mr. Cui Shiguang, Agricultural and Industrial Secretary of CPC Committee of Tianjin and other guests were present.
Mr. Yu said COFCO Packaging has been devoted to speeding up its development in recent years. It prioritized intensive and organic development on its agenda while managing to achieve some fruitful results extensively. CPMC (Tianjin) is another important strategic base after CPMC (Chengdu). It followed the concept that factories are set up where there is a market. With its reasonable lay-out, COFCO Packaging obtained an upper hand in its relations to markets and consumers and continued to provide high quality packaging services for clients in Eastern China. Mr. Yu hopes COFCO Packaging can maintain the momentum, promote development of packaging industry and work to be the most influential packaging enterprise in China.
Currently CMPC (Tianjin) owns ten automatic high-speed printing and coating lines and can-making and end-making lines. Products range from printed and coated tinplates to beverage cans, aerosol cans, food cans, ketch-up cans, milk powder cans, Crown caps and general cans. COFCO Packaging owns quality clients in Eastern China. The opening of Tianjin branch announces that COFCO Packaging’s Eastern China production base has been officially set up. The base also serves as the manufacturing, service and design centre for COFCO Packaging.
